Where are the Map Images on this site coming from?All map images on this site are solely based on the reference maps of the CIA World Factbook (public domain maps). I spent nights to manually trace the outlines and enhance the images to create a few simplified images based on this source. Images on this site are only available as jpg with a resolution of approx. 540x400 pixels. Maybe I add some high-resolution images later, but I don't plan to offer any other format than jpg, bmp or tiff and not go over approx. 1400x1100 pixels. If you feel that I missed something about the use of public domain maps or if you have any other inputs or questions I would highly appreciate a feedback!
